Original 1889 Schmidt Rubin Straight Pull Rifle with Matching Numbers

Out of stock

This is an excellent example of the Swiss, Schmidt Rubin Rifle. This weapon was used by Switzerland from 1889 to 1953. The gun was chambered in the 7.5x55mm Swiss cartridge which is now an obsolete calibre. The rifle features a straight-pull bolt action mechanism, which means that the shooter can pull the bolt straight back to extract and eject the spent cartridge, and then push it straight forward to load a new cartridge into the chamber. This design allows for fast cycling and is considered to be one of the strengths of the rifle.

This particular rifle features matching number parts and is able to be cocked and dry-fired.
