*Manstopper Percussion Pistol, by Smith. Obsolete Calibre.*

A percussion manstopper pistol is a type of firearm that was commonly used in the 19th century. It was designed to stop an attacker in their tracks with a single shot, hence the name "manstopper."

The pistol is 11 inches in overall length, with a 6 inch long barrel, and is very well appointed. It is all iron fitted, with floral engraving on the lock and trigger guard, as well as on the barrel tang, it has the makers name Smith engraved on the lock plate. It has a checkered pistol grip. The pistol also features a very nice ramrod wih brass tips.

* Condition *
Hammer cocks in both positions and is fully operational. The gun has a lovely patina and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. It is consistent with its age and life. Overall a very nice example. Please see photographs as this forms part of the report.
