~ Large Victorian Framed Hand Coloured Print Of The Hot Walls In Old Portsmouth Overlooking The Entrance To Portsmouth Harbour ~

The scene is set at the entrance to Portsmouth harbour, looking East from the hot walls, with a cannon in the foreground, the round tower in the middle distance and sailing warships leaving the harbour. It dates to around 1850, perhaps slightly earlier, as no steam vessels are present.

It is presented in a gilt wooden grazed frame with a single lined card mount.

~ Condition ~

The frame is decent but with some wear and dings. The mount has some water stains. The print is in excellent order.

~ Dimensions ~

The frame is 76 cm (30 inches) wide by 61 cm (24 inches) tall.
