~ 1960 Signed Print Of A Watercolour By William Russell Flint ‘Rosalba’ ~
A great quality signed print of a watercolour entitled ‘Rosalba’ by the Scottish artist and illustrator Sir William Russell Flint (1880 – 19689) R.A., P.P.R.W.S.
This print was published in December 1960 and according to other sources this was a limited edition print, but there is no information with the piece regarding edition numbers.
The subject is of a young woman in a rural Mediterranean setting with cottages and hills in the background.
The print is signed in pencil to the bottom right hand corner by the artist.
The print is mounted and presented in a glazed frame. The frame has details on the reverse of title and issue date etc.
~ Dimensions ~
The print measures 57cm (22 ½ inches) by 46cm (18 inches).
The frame measures 78.5cm (31 inches) by 67cm (26 ½ inches).
The piece weighs 5.9Kg.
~ Condition ~
The print is in very good order and has no damage.
There are a few spots of dirt round the edges of the mount but these seem to be on the inside of the glass rather than the mount itself.
The frame is in sound order but is rather dated and discoloured with age with a little superficial damage to one corner.
