Kukri Dagger with Scabbard marked for the First World War

A very good example of a 20th Century Kukri Dagger, with its original scabbard and frog.

The blade is marked with 1st World War marks – “CO1” a Broad Arrow, and dated February 1917 above number “37”.

The grip is made of mahogany with brass elements, reinforced in the middle with 4 brass belts.

The scabbard is made of brown leather covered wood, with a brass tip.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade length is 33cm, with an overall length of the piece of 47cm and a width of 6cm.
The overall length of the Kukri in its scabbard is 50cm, with a width of 9cm, and an overall weight of 1.3kg.

~ Condition ~

The blade developed a nice patina, and the marks are clearly visible. The grip shows minimum amount of wear with the expected age on its brass elements. The scabbard is excellent for its age, with minor nicks on its brass tip. The leather remains quite soft.
