The Mauser Model 1871 adopted as the Gewehr 71 or Infanterie-Gewehr 71, or "Infantry Rifle 71" ("I.G.Mod.71" was stamped on the rifles themselves) was the first rifle model in a distinguished line designed and manufactured by Paul Mauser and Wilhelm Mauser of the Mauser company and later mass-produced at Spandau arsenal.

The rifle has the serial number 516 on all main components. The chamber crowned Spandau and F.W. The marked burnished receiver dated 1887. This Mauser Model 71/84 has the correct acceptance marks. Blued trigger-guard and markings - K.A.R. EL.30. The volley-sigts range up to 1600 meters.

*Condition*

This Imperial German Mauser Model 71/84 is in pristine condition. A military rifle of this age is rarely seen in such good condition. There is slight minor stock marks. The rifle can be cocked, dry fired and stripped down, if wished. The trap door magazine moves freely under spring tension. All compartments move with ease and is overall a excellent example.
