~ HMS Victory Oak And Copper Desk Weight From The 1968 Restoration ~

The oblong shaped piece is fitted with a front panel of the ships hull copper reading "H.M.S. Victory".

The side is engraved "This pieces of oak and copper was taken from the hull of HMS Victory whilst restoration work was being carried out during 1968. Laid down at Chatham 23rd July 1759. Launched 7th May 1765. Now in dry dock at H.M. Dockyard Portsmouth."
