Original German National Socialist Party (NSDAP) flag of the Third Reich period, constructed in red cotton with a separately sewn white roundel and applied black swastika. This example is a mid-size party or building display flag, intended for indoor use or local party premises.
The flag shows correct period manufacture throughout, with multi-piece construction rather than printed decoration. The red field remains strong in colour, with natural ageing visible to the white roundel and swastika consistent with wartime materials and use. The overall proportions and finish are typical of genuine pre- and early-war party flags.
A well-preserved and authentic example, retaining honest signs of use without restoration.

Historical Note: The swastika party flag was adopted by the National Socialist German Workers’ Party following its rise to power in 1933 and quickly became one of the most widely displayed symbols of the regime. Flags of this size were commonly used in offices, meeting halls, factories and local party buildings, as well as for ceremonial and decorative purposes during rallies and national events.
Party flags were usually produced in lighter cotton and in a range of sizes, with sewn construction reserved for better-quality examples. Following the collapse of the Third Reich in 1945, the vast majority of such flags were destroyed, making surviving original examples increasingly scarce.
*Condition* The flag is in good original condition overall, with expected age-related wear. There are scattered small pin and tack holes consistent with display, along with some light ink/pen marks visible to the red field and white roundel. Minor fabric pulls, light surface soiling, and gentle creasing are present. No large tears, no repairs, and no significant fabric losses are noted. The white roundel and black swastika remain intact and clearly defined. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
