Minesweepers were naval vessels designed to clear naval mines from the waters to allow safe passage for other ships. They played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of naval operations and supply routes during wartime. This bell is labelled M131, a Minesweeper from the Lindenau, Memel shipyard, launched 1941. The ship eventually surrendered to the British in May of 1945.
The bell measures at 14 inches tall (not including knocker) and 11.75 inches wide.
~Condition~
This bell is in great condition with some general surface wear and some pitting on the inside face. It is still functional with an excellent tone. Please see pictures for more detail.
