A pair of trench art vases made from German artillery shells from World War 1. Both shells were made for the 7.7 cm Feldkanone 96 neuer Art . This was a field gun used by Germany throughout the First World War. The shells are dated 1917 and 1915 with various inspection and makers’ marks. The shells have been repurposed into decorated vases. They were retrieved from Turkey as on the side of each shell reads ‘Souvenir, Chanak Dardanelles’

*Condition*

The trench art vases are in great condition with some oxidisation to parts of the brass and one has a chip on the top lip. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
