~ German Made Brazilian Contract 1908 Pattern Bayonet With Scabbard #2 ~

The bayonet was used with the Brazilian 7mm Mauser Rifle and carbine 1908- 1934.

The bayonet features a steel pommel with a working external release button, with 2 steel rivets and wooden grips and metal hooked quillion guard serial numbered r3047.

The scabbard is serial numbered r3047 as well.

The single fullered steel blade shows B beneath the factory stamp to the back edge ricasso and the manufacturer's name Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie Solingen on one side of the ricasso.

The bayonet is 43cm (17 inches) in total length with a 30cm long (12 inches) blade.
