The Arminius line of revolvers is produced by Weihrauch & Weihrauch GmbH & Co. KG, a German manufacturer based in Mellrichstadt, known for its target and sporting air rifles, air pistols, and cartridge firearms. The first Arminius revolver, the HW-3, was introduced in 1960, followed by the HW-4 in 1962 and the HW-5 in 1965. The line is named after Arminius, the Latinized name of the Germanic Cherusci tribe leader who famously defeated Roman forces during Emperor Augustus' reign. The "HW" designation stands for Hermann Weihrauch, the company's founder.
This blued Arminius revolver features a 6-inch (152 mm) barrel with a ventilated rail, a micrometer sight adjustable for elevation and windage, an adjustable trigger with a wide trigger shoe, and a sports wooden grip. It is a 6-shot revolver chambered in .22 LR.
