French M1866-71 Carbine Bolt Action

A really good example of its type though the barrel is plugged.

The left side is stamped...

"M 80"
A serial number of 80924
St. Etienne manufactures stamp
The model number of MLE 1866-71

as well as proof marks.

The bolt has a serial number of G 64590.

The butt plate is stamped 13 G.

There is also a large brass plaque reading GRAS. 1866. screwed into the stock.

~ Dimensions ~

The overall length is 118 cm (46.5 inches) with a 67 cm (26.5 inches) barrel.

It weighs 3.87 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The barrel is plugged. It dry fires sweetly and is generally very good condition. The sights work well and the ramrod is present.
