~ French 1822 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword ~

The unmarked, straight blade has a single three quarter length fuller to either side. The basked guard is of steel with a black ebonised, wire bound grip and has its original leather washer where the guard meets the grip. It comes with its steel field scabbard with a single suspension ring.

~ Condition ~

The blade has a decent tip, the  edges are free from nicks, there are a few minor dark patches. The guard is solid, the grip has a few nibbles. The scabbard is free from dents, the finish is worn, the sword fits in smoothly.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 100 cm (39.5 inches) in length with a 87 cm (34.5 inches) blade.
