The piece has 3 panels of ships after the work of William Lionel Wyllie, these represent the age of sail, ironclads and pre-dreadnought battleships. The border is elaborate with late Victorian dignitaries. There is profuse use of gilding.
The print is presented in a glazed wooden frame with a single card mount.
It was issued in The London Illustrated News for Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1897.
