The bagpipe banner is of cloth with bullion fringes, lion and Kings crown.

The plaque reads...

'Commanding Officers Pipe Banner 1st Battalion' Scots Guards. This banner was worn on his pipes by the pipe major 1st battalion Scots Guards on all ceremonial occasions from 1952 to 1967'.

It is presented in a wooden, glazed frame with wire hangings to the reverse.
