~ Fine Pair Of Circa 1880 French Cast Bronze And Ormlou Candelabra Ex Harrods ~
Here we have a lovely pair of unsigned candelabra with their original sales label from Harrods of Knightsbridge where they were retailed at around £8,000, 25years ago (which is £31,000 in toda'ys money allowing for inflation).
The label designates this item as a ‘PR CHERUB CANDELABRA’.
They are cast patinated bronze and ormolu, mounted on a marble pedestal.
The bronzes are of two putti holding a flowering lily plant, the flowers of the candelabra are gilt as well as the items on the base of the bronze’s, on one it’s a flaming torch and on the other it’s a sheaf of arrows.
The candelabra are on a weighted marble banded base.
