Decorative late 19th–early 20th century copper-alloy belt or harness hanger mount with applied star boss, likely continental European / Balkan work, complete with hook and suspension loop, good aged patina.

An attractive small copper-alloy belt or harness mount of oval form, the face decorated with a raised border of repeated floral and roundel motifs surrounding an applied eight-point star boss to the centre. The piece is of pressed construction with separate applied fitting.
The reverse fitted with a curved hook to one end and a suspension loop to the other, together with strap fittings, allowing the piece to be mounted onto a leather belt, harness, or similar equipment and used to suspend a small item. The form suggests use as decorative belt furniture or harness ornament rather than a badge.

History Note:
Metal belt and harness mounts of this type were widely produced in the late 19th and early 20th century across central and eastern Europe, the Balkans, and parts of the Ottoman sphere, where decorative metal fittings were commonly used on horse tack, traditional costume belts, and equipment straps.
The floral border and applied star motif are typical of folk or regional decorative metalwork rather than regulation military insignia, and similar fittings are often found on cavalry harness, ethnic dress belts, and utilitarian leather equipment of the period.

Good overall with age wear, surface patina, verdigris to the reverse and edges, and general rubbing consistent with use. Hook and suspension loop intact. Applied star boss secure. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
