A lovely early 1930’s Royal Staffordshire, Clarice Cliff small plate or saucer from the Bairittz range.
The rectangular plate is hand-painted with a scene of a cottage and flowers.
It is backstamped ‘The Biarritz, Royal Staffordshire, Great Britain’ with the registration design no. of ‘784849’ and ‘H. (B) LTD’. There is also a handpainted, underlined number ‘1’ or possibly letter ‘I’ or ‘L’.
The design registry number dates the piece to 1933-34.

The plate measures 15 cm (6 inches) by 12cm (4 ¾ inches).
It weighs 155g.
~ Condition ~
The dish is in a very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and only light wear to the decoration.
