SKU: JA_487446874 Category:

Here we have a very nice Kris dagger, a type of weapon most often found in the Philippines or the Malay Peninsula.

This Kris is most likely a 19th century piece made very well, to a better standard than many of the trade or tourist pieces.

The brass covered handle and sheath are finely worked with flowing vine and floral patterns with a waterfowl motif.

The blade is steel and has a pattern worked into it.

The blade still has traces of the incense and perfumes used in blade ceremonies, part of a religious or spiritual ceremony involving the blade.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade is 15 inches (38 cm) long.

The dagger is 19.5 inches (49.5 cm) long.

The dagger weighs 450 g.

~ Condition ~

The dagger is in good condition for its age, there are some small cosmetic dents and scuffs to the sheath.

The steel of the blade has some deterioration to be expected and still has traces of a perfumed powder in the engravings.
