~ Circa 1840 British Proofed Damascene Twisted Octagonal Barreled Deer Park Rifle~

The plains deer/buffalo rifle is London proofed for the US Market.

It has a Damsecene twisted octagonal barreled with long-range leaf sights.

The rifle is in .530″ cal with excellent 11-groove fast twist rifling.

The foliate engraved steel furniture is on a chequered walnut stock fitted with a patchbox.

The set single trigger with a crisp, finely tuned lock and dolphin hammer.

This has not seen much use in its lifetime.

It is in lovely condition, with no breaks in the walnut stock, with just some surface marks here and there.
