~ Circa 1810 Worcester Barr Flight And Barr Period Tea Cup And Saucer ~

Here we have an early Worcester porcelain tea cup and saucer duo, hand decorated with a leaf and gilt intertwining pattern. They date to the  Barr, Flight and Barr period dating to circa 1805-1813.

The teacup is well-potted on a turned foot with a ring handle. The saucer is fairly high on a similar low foot.

The pattern is hand-painted with an intertwining meandering pattern of dark brown leaves and gilding with additional gilding to the outer handle. This type of cup is illustrated in the book "A Compendium of British Cups by Michael Berthoud on Page 64, Plate 379"

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition. There is a small molding defect to the underside rim of the saucer, this is not a chip, otherwise, both pieces are fine.

~ Dimensions ~

The saucer is 13.5 cm (5.25 inches) in diameter, and the teacup's bowl is 8cm (3.35 inches) in diameter.
