~ c1840’s Cottage Form Tea Caddy ~

A lovely tea caddy in the form of a cottage dating to circa 1840.

The caddy is of wood construction with painted detailing to all sides.

The caddy has a hinged lid which when opened reveals two compartments for tea.

The lid has green baize with some painted detail.

~ Dimensions ~

The caddy measures 23cm ( inches) by 14.5cm (5 ¾ inches) with a height of 18cm (7 inches).

It weighs 945g

~ Condition ~

The compartments have lost some of the silver coating and one compartment lid has a natural split which has been repaired.

The green baize has some wear.

The exterior has some edge wear commensurate with age and use.

Overall the caddy is in a nice condition with no major issues.

It does not come with a key.
