British WW1 Leather Flying Cap

This is a genuine World War 1 leather flying hat. It features flaps over the ears which can be unclipped and a cap at the top. This type of helmet was made for the RFC and later, the RAF. The RFC supported the British Army with artillery and photographic reconnaissance and were later involved in dogfights with German aircraft and bombings of industrial/transport facilities.

*Condition*

The helmet is in very good condition with minor marks and scratches around the surface. It has some pitting on the inside of the poppers which is to be expected due to its use and age. Please see pictures for more detail.
