British, WW2, 1943, No 4 Mark II Spike Bayonet, by Singer Manufacturing Co., Clydebank, Scotland, with No. 4 Mk. I Metal Scabbard

Bayonet is Marked "No 4, Mark 11, N 67" the reference for Singer Manufacturing Co., Clydebank, Scotland. Singer bayonets used their dispersal code, N67 from 1943. It is estimated that they made 1,141,782 between 1942–44. It is also marked with a clear war arrow and the inspectors numbers 85.Z.

This is a second pattern spike bayonet. The bayonet was forged and milled from one solid piece of steel. However, the milled blade flutes of the Mark 1 were eliminated.

The accompanying metal scabbard, the No. 4 Mk I, is marked on the throat, the war arrow is clearly discernable and an N.features a tapered steel body with a ball finial, including a drain hole for water drainage. Additionally, it has a round frog stud brazed to the body.

Condition
This spike bayonet is in good condition with clear markings, there is some pitting to the blade. Press button works well and scabbard fits securely. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
