HMS Holland 2 was the second submarine built for the Royal Navy and the first to have a public launch in February 1902. Laid down on 4 February 1901 and commissioned on 1 August 1902, it was part of the Holland-class and set a depth record for the class, accidentally diving to 78 feet.
In December 1902, the submarine sustained minor damage when a strong current caused it to surface beneath a brigantine. Holland 2 was eventually sold on 7 October 1913.
