*British, Interwar-1935, Cadbury Silver Jubilee Tin, King George V & Queen Mary*

A charming original Cadbury chocolate tin issued in 1935 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary (1910–1935). The lid features vivid, framed portraits of the King in military dress and Queen Mary in formal regalia, set against heraldic banners and the Union Jack. The text reads "1910–1935 Silver Jubilee," celebrating 25 years of the King’s reign. Measures approx. 13.7 × 6.5 × 1.2 cm.

The base is marked with the classic Cadbury tree logo, and the interior retains its original metal finish.

These tins were produced as part of Cadbury’s popular commemorative range, similar in spirit to earlier fundraising or commemorative tins like the 1914 Princess Mary gift tin (which was sponsored by public and royal donations). However, unlike the Princess Mary tin, the Cadbury Jubilee tin was purely a commercial release rather than a government-sponsored initiative. It catered to strong public enthusiasm for royal souvenirs during the interwar period.

*Condition*
The exterior shows scattered surface scratches, paint loss to edges and lid, and typical age-related wear. The inside has oxidisation spots but remains structurally sound. Hinges work properly, and the graphics are still vibrant. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
