A superb Grimwade's Bruce Bairnsfather large plaque depicting one of his World War One 'Old Bill' cartoons with the caption 'Here with a loaf of bread beneath the row, A muttered curse, but ne'er a whine, And thou beside me, singing in the wilderness, The wilderness is paradise enow'.

Printed Grimwades Globe mark.

The plaque weighs 585g.

~ Condition ~

In great condition; no chips, cracks, or restoration. Fine all-over age-related crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract. One of the rarer scenes to find.
