*British, Boer War Era, 1888 Pattern Lee Metford Bayonet Mk. I Type 2, Dated September 1899*

Approx Measurements: 30cm blade, 42cm overall.
All marks and stamps can be seen in the pictures, including the date stamp.

This knife bayonet was used with the .303 caliber M1888 Lee-Metford and Long Lee-Enfield rifles and occasionally with the MK VI Martini-Enfield rifles. Mk. I 2nd Type with grips secured by two large rivets and a cleaning hole in the grip.
