*British, 1978, 30mm Aden (Armament Development, Enfield) HE Practice Cannister Shot, Radway Green, Inert*
The ADEN cannon was produced by the Royal Small Arms Factory. This 30mm revolver cannon found extensive use on various military aircraft, notably those belonging to the British Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm. Developed after World War II, it was specifically designed to fulfil the British Air Ministry’s need for enhanced firepower in aircraft armament. Electrically fired and fully automatic once loaded, the ADEN cannon significantly increased lethality in aerial combat.
