Out of stock

SKU: JA_553950699 Category:

This is a rare example of a RNR and its scabbard of an officer who served under two monarchs.

The guard bears the Queen Victoria’s Crown above the anchor and it comes with its gold bullion tassel.

The blade is etched on one side with the Royal coat of arms, decorative foliage and a cartouche engraved with the manufacturer’s details “C. Haysom. Limited, Fenchurch St., London”.

The reverse bears the fouled anchor beneath “RNR” and the kings crown.

The scabbard is made of black leather with brass fittings.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade is 31 inches (79 cm) long and the overall length of the sword in the scabbard is 37 inches (94 cm).

~ Condition ~

The blade is in good condition and is developing a nice patina. There are some dark spots on the edge, but no damage.

The basket and the grip remain in good condition with general wear.

The scabbard is fairly good with the expected age on it. The brass tip lost part of its gild.
