~ A 1822 Pattern form Circa 1830-40 Infantry Seargent's Sword ~

This is a rather unusual 1822 pattern piece with a transitional blade resembling a pipeback at the tip and an 1827 on the body.

The piece bears Queen Victoria's cipher on the guard and its handgrip is made of wired black shagreen.

~ Condition ~

As seen in the pictures it is in fair condition for its age. The folding part of the handguard scraped from its middle hindge, as is the case of many.

The blade has some minimal spots of surface rust but is not significant.
