The piece is stamped on its lockplate Tower and GR beneath the crown and an inspector’s mark

It comes with a heavy mahogany wooden frame with a brass trigger guard.

The original steel ramrod is also present.

The heavy still barrel is a 10 bore but with the wool or paper patch it will actually accommodate the .75 cal lead ball used also by the Brown Bess.

The barrel is unmarked, except the armourer’s alignment mark.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrel is 9 inches long (23 cm) and the overall length of the piece is 15 inches (38cm).

It weighs 1.34 kg.

~ Condition ~

The bore shows little signs of use and remains in good condition.

The exterior o f the barrel has been varnished at one point in time for conservation purposes.

The woodwork is quite good overall with a crack on the top screw, left side. Please see the pictures
