A pretty pin brooch set with a single oval cabochon opal and 12 round-cut sapphires.

The stones are claw-set in the form of a flower head with the sapphires surrounding the opal.

The brooch is fitted with a pin clasp to the reverse.

The brooch is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham. The date mark is difficult to read.

The opal measures 1.0 carats (6mm x 8mm).

The sapphires measure 0.04 carats (2mm diameter) each.

The brooch has a width of 3.6cm

It weighs 2.7g

~ Condition ~

There is a tiny chip to one of the sapphires but otherwise the brooch is in a lovely condition.
