A great ring of 9ct gold set with a large oval-cut ruby.
The deep reddish, almost purple stone is mounted in a raised claw setting to the front of the ring.
The ring has a slim plain band.
The ring is hallmarked inside the band for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1973 with a makers mark of ‘R&W’.
