This is a Hebel Model 1894, used throughout WW1 and WW2. These flare guns were used to signal to the other German soldiers that it was time to go ‘over the top’ to leave their trench and engage the Allies head on. The pistol has stamps and numbers across its body and can still be cocked and dry fired. Deactivated to current standards.

*Condition*

Most of the gun is pitted with some heavier pitting on the barrel. The wooden grip is in good condition with a few minor knocks and scratches. Most stamps and numbers are clear to identify.
