SKU: JA_793940960 Category:

This is a .40" calibre smooth bore double barrel turnover pistol dating from the mid 19th Century.

Unfortunately there is no maker mark or other indication about the manufacturer but judging by the pattern its manufacturer may be British, if not Belgian.

The lock plates are engraved with floral inlay.

The chequered walnut grips have a brass pommel and blank silver escutcheon plate.

There are four proof marks on the right side of the barrels.

The pistol cocks and releases as intended.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrels length is 3.1 inches (8 cm) and the overall length of the pistol is 7.5 inches (19 cm).

It weighs 360 grams.

~ Condition ~

The pistol is in fair condition for its age.

The mechanism works as intended with a strong spring.

The grip has a couple of slight scores to the upper left side and a tiny chip adjacent to the pommel.

The left lock plate has a tiny crack along an engraved seam and one of the percussion nipples is missing.
