A wonderful hand carved cameo brooch with great attention to detail, set in 9ct yellow gold.
The brooch is slightly unusual as it features a scene of a lady with what appear to be wings, reclining upon a bed rather than the traditional cameo subject of a ladies
bust.
The cameo is beautifully framed with a twisted gold thread around the circumference.
The piece is hallmarked to the top for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1992. It has a makers mark which is partially worn.
The piece is fitted to the reverse with a clasp.
