~ 1936 Royal Worcester Large Hand Painted Cabinet Plate Of Worcester Cathedral By Worcester Artist G.H. Evans ~
Of 1st quality, the plate depicts the Cathedral viewed from the South West over the river Severn. It is hand painted in soft autumnal tones at day break.
It is signed by the artist to the lower left. George Evans (England 1899-1958) was recorded at the Worcester factory as a landscape painter working there between 1914 and 1955.
To the reverse is the Royal Worcester back stamp in blue, the date code for 1936, the plates title, a reference number of 544 and the remains of the original retailers label.
~ Condition ~
The plate is in excellent condition, just one tiny speck of paint loss to the lower right. The gilding remains fine as do the colours.

The plate is 27.5 cm (10.75 inches) in diameter.
