~ 1905 Royal Doulton Lord Nelson Tyg ~

This Royal Doulton Lord Nelson tyg (3 handled jug) is of flared cylindrical form and was issued on the centenary of the battle of Trafalgar.

The tyg has 3 embossed panels between the rope handles.

The first panel is Lord Nelson with his name and profile as well as born 1758 – died 1805. The next frame has the royal coat of arms and the last reads “ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY”.

The base of the jug is impressed with “ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND”, stamped with a crown and a lion. Also, marked on there is the number X6422 and the initials 'MB' for Mary Butter.

The jug has a diameter of 6.2 inches (16 cm) and a height of 6.4 inches (16.5 cm).

It weighs 1.6 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The jug is in decent condition. One handle has been attached.
