~ 18th Century Bronze Mortar With Handles And Banding ~
This is a fine bronze mortar with flared body turned with ribs and knob like handles. The lines which appear decorative are for measuring. There are concentric circles on the underside. There is no pestle.
~ Dimensions ~
The mortar is 5 inches (12.7cm) high with the lip diameter of 5.5 inches (14cm) and the base diameter of 3 inches (7.5cm).
The total weight is 2.15 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The mortar is in good antique condition. There are some nicks to the body and the lost some finish on one side.
