This is a nice example with a matching scabbard stamped. It has clearly seen some action in the field. The blade is marked on one side "Wilkinson London" 11 '00 (November 1900) and a pair of proof marks. The opposite side is also proof marked.

The edge is dated '99 (1899).

The scabbard is dated in the same manner.

Also there is an identical mark on both the scabbard and the interior of the basket reading

~ Condition ~

The tip of the blade is pitted and there are some minor nicks on the edge further down.

The basket is bend in places showing signs of field usage, like the rest of the sword.

The scabbard has paint ware and a bullet mark on the top section.
