~ 1852 Rosewood Writing Slope With Mother Of Pearl Inlay ~

This quality writing slope is elaborately inlaid with Mother Of Pearl to the front and top. The central cartouche bears the initials P B and the date of the 3rd of October 1852. Inside is a lined green leather writing pad and various compartments, including a large one under the leather.

~ Condition ~

There is some loss to the mother or pearl, principally where the lid meets the base. There is no key. A pleasing piece.

The writing slope is 35.5 cm (14.5 inches) wide, 23 cm (9 inches) deep and 12.5 cm (5 inches) tall.
