The set is comprised of a Henry Hughes & Son Husun Sextant, serial number 27585 (which dates it to 1941), in its original green velvet lined mahogany case with its key. The set includes two eyepieces, an extension tube, sun shade filter and an oil bottle stopper.

The inside of the lid bears an examination label to confirm it correctly functions at that time, this is dated 10/10(19)44.

~ Condition ~

The piece presents well. All filters are free from cracks, the optics are decent as are the mirrors.

The case is 27.5 cm (10.75 inches) square and 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall.
