~ Circa 1800 Light Dragoons Volunteers Flintlock Pistol By Johnston ~

The Light Dragoons pistol was made for a local yeomanry unit during the Napoleonic emergency. It has standard regulation brass and stock furniture. The lock bears the gunsmiths name of R Johnston. The trigger guard is stamped with the issue number of H over 26, most likely for Hussars.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition.  The forestock has a chamferred in period replacement by the muzzle. The lock works well on half and full cock with a strong spring.

~ Dimensions ~

The pistol is 41 cm (16 inches) in total length with a 23 cm (9 inches) barrel.
