16cm blade, 28.5cm overall.

Marked on pommel "AES, Solingen, W.-Germany". Marked on the back of the scabbard "79B" and again on the side of the scabbard below the integrated belt loop.

Patterned after the Glock FMsr78 GLOCK, this combat knife from the 1970s originates from West Germany, specifically the FM79B model crafted by AES in Solingen, (the FM80 model had a removable top lug so that the field knife could be adapted for use as a bayonet (see attached photographs from the 1984 catalogue). It features a green ribbed polymer grip imprinted with AES SOLINGEN W-GERMANY on the pommel, complemented by a steel cross guard which can also be used as a bottle cap remover. The blade exhibits pronounced crossgraining. Housed in its proper green polymer plastic scabbard, the knife securely locks in place with a positive stud.

AES = Annette Eickhorn Solingen, which was founded in 1975 a few weeks before her husbands', Carl Eickhorn, company went bankrupt.
