An extremely rare, and large pressure gauge. Marked "Budenberg Gauge Co Ltd. Broadheath nr. Manchester." Serial number "6802561". Marked on the side "GE War Arrow H". Depth to 350feet and pressure in LBS per Sq In.

Arnold Budenberg came from Germany to sell Pressure Gauges in England as Schaffer & Budenberg and set up operations in London in 1854. In 1896 they moved to Manchester and 1914 to Broadheath, Manchester. At the start of the First World War Schaffer & Budenberg were nationalised and remained so until, at a public auction following the War, in 1918, the business was acquired by the Budenberg family; thus becoming Budenberg Gauge Co Ltd.
