Overall a very nice used British WW2 “Police” helmet in its original paint, early style liner and combat helmet strap, marked 154 inside. There are indistinct manufacturers marks.
As a response to the high proportion of head wounds (many caused by artillery shrapnel) the British Army introduced a protective steel helmet for its combatant forces based on a patented design of John L Brodie in August/September 1915.
*Condition*
In very good condition. Fantastic for a “Brodie” helmet collection. Please see photographs as art pf the condition report.
