The Military medal is engraved to 1598338 A. SJT. c. H. PAYNE. R. A.

Sjt Charles Payne enlisted in 1940 and was captured in December 1942 in North Africa and held prisoner in Italy.

He escaped from Italy and returned to the allies in June 1944 for which he was awarded the Military Medal as confirmed on service records and regimental records etc.

Medals are: Military Medal correctly named to recipient, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, and War Medal. All on original ribbons as issued.

The medals are in good order with very minimal knocking.
