~ WW2 Lee Enfield No.4 Rifle with Grenade Discharger dated 1943 (Deactivated) ~

The Lee–Enfield or Enfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century, and was the British Army's standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. The Discharger No.3 entered service in mid-1942 utilising the bayonet lug of the No.4 rifle for attachment. The discharger would prove unpopular due to the widespread use of the 2-inch mortar but would continue to see service until the phase-out of the No. 4 rifle in British army service. This particular rifle is dated 1943 and has the serial number AM7694.

*Condition*

The Rifle is in very good condition with some minor wear and patina on the stock and butt plate. The bolt moves smoothly and the trigger works under spring pressure but the rifle does not dry fire as per current deactivation regulations. The discharger and magazine can both be removed with ease. Please see the photos as they form part of our condition report.
